Earlier, Bloomberg wrote that Uniper asked the German government for financial assistance in the amount of up to €9 billion.
Uniper also announced that it has begun withdrawing gas from its own storage facilities to provide consumers against the backdrop of a reduction in gas supplies from Russia.
Customers have been notified of a possible price increase.
