Mr. Hiroshi Kikuchi, a prosecutor of the Supreme Public Prosecutors Office, will be appointed as the new Secretary of the Immigration Bureau of Japan.

The Immigration Bureau of Japan was established three years ago to accommodate the expansion of the acceptance of foreign human resources.



The first secretary was Seiko Sasaki, who has long been in charge of immigration operations at the Ministry of Justice, but will retire next month.



Along with this, Mr. Hiroshi Kikuchi, a prosecutor of the Supreme Public Prosecutors Office, will be appointed to succeed Secretary Sasaki.



Mr. Kikuchi is 58 years old.

He has served as a prosecutor of the Nara District Public Prosecutors Office and a director of the Human Rights Protection Bureau of the Ministry of Justice, and he became a prosecutor of the Supreme Public Prosecutors Office last July.

This appointment will be announced on the 2nd of next month.

New Secretary of the Sendai High Court and Director Junko Mori of the Osaka Family Court

In addition, since Hideaki Kozai, Secretary of the Sendai High Court, will retire next month, Junko Mori, Director of the Osaka Family Court, will be appointed as his successor.



Director Mori is 64 years old.

She has served as the director of the Nara District Court, and she became the director of the Osaka Family Court last June.

This appointment will be announced after the 20th of next month.
