The National Front for the Defense of the Constitution (FNDC) intends to organize new marches in the country.
“
We are on our own agenda.
A truce had been observed to give dialogue a chance because there were moral and religious authorities who had committed themselves at the time to ensuring that a framework for dialogue was created between the social and political forces of the country and the ruling junta.
But there was no positive follow-up to this promise from the religious authorities,
” according to Ibrahima Diallo, the coalition's operations manager.
By resuming the challenge, the FNDC “
demands the establishment of a framework for dialogue in order to agree on the timetable and the transition for a return to constitutional order
”.
The junta "
has an obligation, if not a duty, to deal with the social and political forces of the country in the management of the transition
", adds Mr. Diallo.
This decision comes
despite the presence for two days in Conakry
of the ECOWAS mediator, former Beninese President Thomas Yayi Boni, who is supposed to relaunch dialogue between the ruling junta and political and social actors.
For Ibrahima Diallo: “
By the date scheduled for the peaceful and civic demonstration, if the mediator obtains this dialogue before the date of the demonstration, we will appreciate it
”.
