Filing of complaints

On a video of the scene broadcast on social networks, relayed by the Alliance union and the LyonMag information site, we see three plainclothes police officers, two men and a woman, being beaten and thrown by projectiles in front of the entrance of a convenience store in the sensitive district of La Guillotière, in the city center.

The crew in civilian clothes "were intervening for a snatch robbery when they were very quickly attacked by the crowd", a police source told AFP, adding that the suspect took the opportunity to flee.

"Colleagues will press charges for their injuries," the source added.

According to Alliance, two and seven days of ITT were prescribed for two of them.

At the beginning of the year, a specialized field brigade was set up in the La Guillotière district to try to stem crime and trafficking there, while acts of violence have increased there over the past two years.
