Al-Muhairi said, in exclusive statements to "Emirates Today": "I feel proud to be the first female citizen to join the field of nuclear inspection, a feeling that places a great responsibility on me, which always pushes me to double my efforts at the professional and training levels, for two reasons, the first is my love for my work and my specialization, Secondly, I am certain that my professional success will be a motivation to attract more female citizens to work in this very important field, especially that the percentage of Emirati women working in the nuclear sector in the UAE reaches 20% of the workforce in the sector, which is one of the highest rates of female participation. in institutions operating in the nuclear energy sector around the world.

Al Muhairi summarized the reasons that led her to choose to work in the field of nuclear safety, in her great passion for studying science and mathematics, as well as her overwhelming desire to serve the country through a new and important sector, noting that she faced many challenges during her academic career and at the beginning of her working life, but her insistence on Success and achieving her dream helped her overcome challenges.

She added: “The period of university study was interesting, but it was not without challenges, which made me innovate in the career field later, and despite my hesitation at the beginning of my enrollment in the mechanical and nuclear engineering major at Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research, as a result of my lack of knowledge as a secondary student in engineering and its applications on In reality, however, with every university course I was more certain that I had studied the specialization that suited my passion and skills, and after graduation I joined the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation to work as a nuclear safety inspector, as my job requires conducting inspections aimed at ensuring that the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant, including including facilities, equipment and the performance of work, meets all necessary requirements, and complies with applicable law and regulations and any conditions set forth in the License Terms.”

Al Muhairi noted that within months of the beginning of her career, she was also selected as a member of the Emirates Youth Council, pointing out that she was also chosen as one of the youngest members of the board of directors in the UAE government, and she was also selected as a member of the Board of Directors of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.

She said: "These various tasks in government and voluntary work required me to develop my skills, my horizons of knowledge and the experiences that I possess, and that is why I was keen to join the (Emirates Experts) program, as it is a meaningful, valuable and different educational program with an interactive nature and centered around the presence of a mentor and a work team with whom we can work to put Strategic projects serving different sectors.

Al Muhairi added: “I learned a lot during my joining the (Emirates Experts) program, and I consider myself indebted to this program for what I learned, especially with regard to the arts of leadership, team management, strategic projects and driving positive change, in addition to enhancing critical analysis and design thinking skills, and testing these skills within the framework of My experience during the program’s courses, in addition to the program providing personal and skill tests, helped me very much in identifying strengths and opportunities for improvement.”

As part of her efforts to develop her academic and professional skills, Al Muhairi confirmed that she went on to study a master’s degree in international affairs and military intelligence sciences at King’s College in London, in addition to obtaining specialized certificates in the fields of diplomacy, politics, counter-terrorism and coexistence, stressing that her activities and responsibilities are in the two Emirates Youth Councils. And the higher for motherhood and childhood, does not affect in any way on her working life and professional ambition.
