Three Syrian soldiers were killed and seven others were wounded in an Israeli air strike early on Friday, targeting targets in the vicinity of the Syrian capital, Damascus, according to the official Syrian News Agency (SANA).

SANA news agency quoted a military source for the Syrian regime as saying that the Israeli bombing also caused some material losses.

He pointed out that the Syrian air defenses confronted the Israeli missiles and shot down some of them.

The source explained that "the Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression with missiles from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting some points in the vicinity of Damascus."

Residents in the west of the capital, Damascus, told the German news agency that missile strikes hit areas west of the capital, Damascus, and flames and smoke were seen rising from the targeted area, and air defenses destroyed two missiles southwest of the capital, according to the same sources.
