“Currently, the government of the Kaliningrad region, together with the government of Russia, is working on the issue of alternative ways of supplying the subject, including by ferry transport,” RIA Novosti quotes a statement from the ministry.

The Ministry of Construction warned that in the case of delivery of materials by water, there is a possibility of delays in deliveries, as well as changes in the cost of building materials due to increased logistics costs.

On July 13, the European Commission announced that rail transit to Kaliningrad is allowed subject to the control of goods.

Later, the governor of the Kaliningrad region, Anton Alikhanov, said that he expects Lithuania to make a decision on the transit of goods to Kaliningrad this week.
