Extreme heat

With extreme heat of around 44 degrees and unpredictable winds have made the fires, which have been raging since last Tuesday, difficult to extinguish.

On Wednesday, French President Emmanuel Macron visited the region.

- We are facing one of the biggest fires in our country's history, the president says during his visit.
