“As for the sensations, the feelings that I experienced when it was all announced: inevitability,” he said.

At the same time, Lavrov said that he experienced “even relief” when the special operation began.

He explained that for many years in Russia they could not answer the question of people from Donbass and many Russian citizens, how long “can one allow to mock common sense, the people, the resolution of the Security Council and everything that was associated with this and was impudently sabotaged” .

Lavrov also said in an interview with RT and RIA Novosti that the geographical objectives of the special military operation in Ukraine have changed.

He noted that as the West pumps more and more long-range weapons into Ukraine, such as HIMARS, the geographical objectives of the special operation will move even further from the current line.
