Saturday evening in Aude, a 24-year-old seasonal worker was stabbed to death.

One of his colleagues was indicted and then detained on Tuesday, announced the Narbonne prosecution.

Working in a restaurant in the seaside resort of Fleury d'Aude, the young man succumbed to his injuries in Sérignan (Hérault), while "two of his friends had decided to take him to the hospital", said Olivia Demoustier, deputy prosecutor of Narbonne.

The prosecution also clarified that the main suspect was “arrested the same night at the scene” adding that he was “placed in police custody, he admitted to being the author of the fatal stab wound”.

According to the deputy prosecutor, “the stabber and the victim were seasonal workers in the same restaurant and lived together in company accommodation”.

Indicted and placed in detention for intentional homicide, the suspect is not known to justice.
