The number of complaints received and dealt with by the Social Protection Department at the Ministry of Community Development reached 74, within the service of providing support and assistance to those who are subjected to any kind of abuse, launched by the Ministry last year.

The Ministry launched the service to protect those subjected to violence and abuse in all its forms, based on Federal Decree-Law No. (10) of 2019 regarding protection from domestic violence, and related laws, in order to preserve the integrity and integrity of the family, which is one of the matters that the Ministry pays great attention to providing a climate A belief enhanced by the principles of family cohesion and community cohesion.

The time for deciding on the complaint is determined according to the assessment of the degree of severity in force, which is classified into three cases, including 24 hours for severe cases, two working days for moderately serious cases, and from three to five working days for non-serious cases related to child rights issues.

According to the Ministry's information, there are no conditions for submitting complaints, and anyone exposed to abuse of all kinds, or any witness to abuse, can report it, with reference to any party that the applicant had previously notified of the same complaint.

The details of the family protection policy axes include the target groups of all forms of violence, which include physical, verbal, moral and sexual violence, economic exploitation and social abuse.

The target groups for protection from violence and abuse include the spouses, the father and mother of either of them, grandchildren, brothers and sisters of either spouse, the person under the custody of an alternative family, relatives up to the fourth degree, in addition to the children of one of the spouses from another legal or legal marriage.
