At the same time, Putin added that they discussed with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi mainly economic issues.
“Over the past six months, the trade turnover between Russia and Iran has grown by 40%. We have good and promising areas of interaction,” the Russian leader noted.
Earlier in Tehran, Putin met with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, as well as with Iranian Supreme Ruler Ali Khamenei.
On July 19, Putin arrived in Iran for a summit with Iranian and Turkish counterparts Ibrahim Raisi and Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
