“I have already said that the Republic of Turkey and President Erdogan personally did a lot to reach an agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain,” Putin said during a press conference for the media following his trip to Iran.

He clarified that Russia proceeded from the fact that the restrictions associated with the possible supply of Russian grain for export were lifted.

Earlier, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said that the plan on the grain issue was agreed upon by the Quartet on general principles and now it needs to be specified.

UN Secretary General António Guterres also commented on the grain export talks held in Istanbul.

According to him, the negotiators managed to come to an agreement on many significant aspects of grain exports.
