The standoff continues this Tuesday in the National Assembly between the oppositions and the presidential majority, around the bill on purchasing power.

If everyone wants to compromise, everyone blames or accuses each other to prevent it from being found.

Another tense day in the hemicycle.

In the National Assembly, the standoff continues between the oppositions and the presidential majority around the bill on purchasing power, the debates on which began on Monday.

The government wants a compromise, the oppositions too, but each side blames each other for finding it or accuses each other of doing everything to prevent it.

Another tense afternoon in the hemicycle this Tuesday.

MPs are still considering Article 1

This question of compromise is at the heart of the debates, and this is what is increasing the pressure in the hemicycle.

After two days of sitting, the deputies are still examining article 1, containing in particular the famous Macron bonus.

And there are 20 articles altogether in the bill.

Daniele Simonet, Insoumise deputy, accuses the government of not playing the game. "Only four amendments were accepted. They were rewriting amendments. Where is your conception of the construction? In fact, you only accept construction when it destroys, when it deconstructs the labor code. It is unacceptable and you will see that at the start of the school year, the social climate will be quite hot. It will be scorching," she insisted before MPs.

The oppositions are trying to make the government let go

At this stage, only a few editorial amendments, that is to say technical amendments, coming from the majority, have been adopted.

A strategy assumed by Christine Le Nabour, deputy of the majority: "First, we never said that we wanted to compromise with you", she declared, under the boos of the oppositions.

This bill should pass, but the opposition is trying everything to make the government let go and is currently trying to make the Macron bonus accessible to as many people as possible, either conditional on gender equality, or on ecological objectives for companies. .

Everything is denied so far.
