has lost the sight of one eye
after suffering an
accident
in which her cornea was perforated, as she told the Jaleos portal, giving an
unprecedented
lesson in optimism and vitality .
After being asked about the accident, the former daughter-in-law of Pilar de Borbón
downplayed
the matter, assuring that she had already undergone
surgery
after having her cornea perforated and that what has happened to her
is a lesser evil.
In spite of everything, Ponte admits that
"it's no joke
not to see out of one eye, but well, as far as it goes... there are much worse things, really. And all I have to do is
lead a very Calm down,
it suits me very well."

Currently, the one from Vigo does not see through the damaged eye, but as stated in the social conic section of El Español, she
maintains the hope of recovering her vision,
as the doctors who treat her have told her that it will happen in a few months.
"First there was an operation to save the hole that was made in my cornea, then
the transplant, which is what I am waiting for
. And if everything goes well, hopefully, I will recover my vision. I guess, I don't know. I only know that I am in super good hands,
in La Paz, with wonderful people".
For many years, Laura Ponte's professional career was conditioned by her physique.
To date, she has not only been
removed from the catwalks
as a mannequin for a long time and focused on her role as a designer.
Even so,
the physical consequences
of her accident do not matter to the Galician, who assures that she does not care.
In addition, she acknowledges with humor that her children
"say that I look like a cyborg
and that I am very pretty."
