The Secretary-General of the UAE National Competitiveness Council, Ghannam Al Mazrouei, stated that an integrated program will soon be announced to promote Emiratisation in the health sector, including various medical and technical specialties.

In a press statement on the sidelines of honoring companies that achieved three times the Emiratisation targets, the day before yesterday, Al Mazrouei said that the number of citizens joining the private sector since the launch of the Nafees program has exceeded 5,600 citizens, within less than a year since the launch of the program.

He pointed out that more programs and initiatives will be launched aimed at providing means of support for Emirati cadres in various sectors and enhancing their effective presence in the various development paths the country is witnessing.

He stressed that the incentives and discounts of up to 80% of the fees on the transactions of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, as well as the advantages offered by the "Nafis" program, will help to reach the target for the specific Emiratisation rates.

He stated that the “Nafis” program includes 11 sub-programs covering all aspects of the job seeker’s employment journey, including the “Experience” program to provide vocational training in cooperation with private and semi-governmental companies for a period of up to 12 months, with monthly financial rewards for trained citizens. To support national competencies with the expertise that qualifies them to join distinguished jobs in the private sector.

For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation for Emiratisation Affairs, Saif Al-Suwaidi, said that during the coming period 2,000 training opportunities will be provided in the health sector for students who will study in the health field next September, in cooperation and coordination with three national universities, which are Fatima College of Health Sciences, and other colleges. Higher Technology, Fujairah University of Science and Technology.

He pointed out that applications for enrollment in training for students are being received, and some of these students will be enrolled in university education and some will study diplomas, according to their scientific specialization and field of study, and financial rewards will be given to students who will enroll in these medical training programs.

He continued, "There is a remarkable growth in the health sector, and an increasing demand for medical cadres in various specialties, so we decided to take this initiative to train a large group of students applying to study for the next academic year, and therefore the health sector will be one of the most important sectors we target during the coming period."
