According to the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervision Commission of the Yunnan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection: Wang Changyong, former chairman of the Finance and Economics Commission of the Yunnan Provincial People's Congress, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervisory investigation.

  Resume of Wang Changyong

  Wang Changyong, male, Han nationality, from Huantai, Shandong, was born in February 1957, with an on-the-job postgraduate degree, started working in October 1974, and joined the Communist Party of China in June 1981.

  From October 1974 to March 1977, he was an educated youth in Lengquan Commune, Mengzi County, Honghe Prefecture;

  From March 1977 to June 2001, he worked in Yunnan Tin Industry Group (Holdings) Co., Ltd., and served as the head of the labor and management department, the deputy mine manager, the director of the labor and personnel department, and the deputy manager;

  From June 2001 to May 2006, he served as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Kunming Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd.;

  From May 2006 to October 2015, he served as Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Kunming Iron and Steel Holding Co., Ltd. (Kunming Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd.) (during the period: August 2007 to May 2015, concurrently served as WISCO Kunming Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. vice chairman);

  From October 2015 to December 2016, he served as the deputy director of the Budget Working Committee of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress (at the department level);

  From December 2016 to January 2020, he served as the chairman of the Finance and Economics Committee of the Provincial People's Congress;

  March 2020, retired.
