The organization has helped new arrivals in Sweden to meet people who are established in the country.

The people are matched through common interests.

After the match, the couple gets to decide when and how they want to meet.

They can exchange experiences and practice the language through a coffee break, a walk, a dinner or even digitally.

- It is not necessarily the case that they speak Swedish when they are seen.

If you want to speak other languages, it's okay.

For us, it is important that two people who have not met before are allowed to meet and make a friendship, Mardin Baban points out.

According to Mardin, about 70% of the participants who matched up said that they will see each other again after the first meeting.

- Many have said that they feel much more welcome just after a single meeting.

Many say they gain better self-confidence, he says.
