When the Social Democrats in Sörmland nailed the Riksdag lists at the party congress this spring, Åsa Kullgren ended up in sixth place.

The party comrades in Eskilstuna thought this was far too far down and now support Kullgren in her search for enough personal crosses for a seat in the Riksdag.

- I really want to do this because I want to talk about issues that feel important to me, she says

Do not see the risk of division

Fredrik Olovsson from Vingåker entered the Riksdag in 2002 and is today also chairman of the Social Democrats' Sörmland district.

He is not worried that Kullgren's election campaign will risk splitting the party.

- No, I would not say that.

All candidates can run a personal election campaign.

Every fifth crosses

The opportunity to vote in person was introduced in connection with the 1998 election and is usually used by about every fifth voter in Sörmland.

For Kullgren to succeed, she believes that around 3,000 personal crosses will be needed.

In the 2018 election, only five members took that path.

In the video, Åsa Kullgren tells how her party comrades in Sörmland received the news of her election campaign.
