"Dubai Press" opens the door for candidacy for the Arab Media Award

The General Secretariat of the Arab Media Award, organized by the Dubai Press Club, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced the opening of nominations for the award in its first session with its new structure after the development process that It included the creation of the "Visual Media" and "Digital Media" awards, along with the "Arab Press Award", to become more comprehensive and broader, confirming Dubai's leading position as a major center for creativity in the region, and its leadership's keenness to stimulate creativity and creators within various sectors, foremost of which is the media sector. The General Secretariat, represented by the Dubai Press Club, explained that the development process came under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, patron of the award, in order to generalize the benefit and expand competition in those key sectors for the benefit of the recipient by stimulating upgrading the quality of media content in The three sectors are press, visual and digital media.

She stressed that the screening and arbitration processes will take place, as has been the case for the past 20 years, within a framework that is subject to strict governance that ensures the highest levels of integrity and objectivity in selecting the winner within the various categories covered by the award in this cycle, which amounts to 13 categories distributed over the three prizes, journalistic, visual and digital. In addition to the category of Media Personality of the Year whose award is granted by a decision of the award’s board of directors.
