Assistant Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Criminal Investigation Affairs: Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri.

A woman of the nationality of an Asian country, fleeing from her sponsor, was killed while trying to escape from a building guard who was holding her in his room and sexually exploiting her.

The Assistant Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Criminal Investigation Affairs, Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, said that the crime scene management was able to solve the mystery of the incident within a record time, and proved that there was another crime behind the attempt to escape and the death of the woman.

He added that the woman resorted to this attempt after she was detained for a period of time by the building guard and another person with him, who formed a gang to traffic in women and sexually exploit them, pointing out that she collected ties and clothes used by members of the Asian community (visitor), and made a rope from them to get him down from the building. However, the rope could not bear its weight, so it broke straight away, and it fell and died as a result of hitting the hard ground.

He pointed out that the work team developed a plan to determine the place where the woman was being held, and concluded that the building guard and another person who is being prosecuted in the crime were involved.

For his part, the Director of the Crime Scene Department, Colonel Ahmed Al-Marri, explained that a report was received, the day before yesterday, to the Command and Control Room of the General Department of Operations, about the fall of a woman from the highest building in the Russian Quarter in International City.

He said that a team from the Crime Scene Departments, Criminal Investigation and the competent police station moved directly to the site, where they found the woman covered in blood, with a knotted rope hanging from a variety of clothes from the top of the building, and a broken water pipe in an apartment on the fourth floor was noted.

He added that the work team interrogated the occupants of the building, and it was found that the woman was unknown to everyone, which imposed a kind of ambiguity.

He pointed out that the work team summoned the guard, who denied knowing the woman, so his room was searched, and clothes similar to those the woman made the rope were found, and the woman's belongings, including documents indicating her identity, were seized, and it was found that she had fled from her sponsor since 2011.

The guard admitted that he bought the woman from another person for 8000 dirhams, and she was kept in his room, and sexually exploited.

He pointed out that the incident was referred to the department concerned with crimes of human trafficking, and the accused was referred to the Public Prosecution on charges of detaining a person against his will, causing the death of a woman, and sexually exploiting her, and his partner in the crime is being pursued.
