US President Joe Biden, who was visiting Saudi Arabia in the Middle East, called for an increase in crude oil production at a meeting with the leaders of oil-producing countries amid soaring international oil prices.

However, the Saudi Arabian side will not respond on the spot, and it is expected that a decision on increasing production will be made at a meeting scheduled to be held next month by major oil-producing countries.

US President Joe Biden attended a meeting with leaders of the GCC = Gulf Cooperation Council in western Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on the 16th.

In this, President Biden said, "We have agreed that we need to be adequately supplied to meet global demand. We are looking forward to what will happen in the coming months." I showed expectations for the movement.

However, Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Faisal, who had a press conference after the meeting, said, "OPEC = Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries will continue to do what is necessary to maintain the balance of the market."

OPEC Plus, which is made in major oil-producing countries, is scheduled to hold a meeting to discuss future production policies early next month, and it is expected that decisions regarding increased production will be made here.

On the other hand, President Biden has made it clear that the United States is proceeding with a plan to integrate the air defense capabilities of the Middle East countries with a common threat such as Iran in mind, and will prevent Russia and Iran from expanding their influence in the Middle East. He emphasized that he would continue to be involved.
