In the Seversk direction: the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported the actual destruction of the 115th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The units of the Aerospace Forces of Russia with high-precision strikes actually destroyed the 115th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which operated in the Seversk direction, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

Over the past two days alone, the loss of personnel in this unit has exceeded 600 people, said the official representative of the department, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.

“In order to complete the brigade, residents of Seversk, Nikolaevka and other nearby settlements under the control of the Ukrainian army are urgently mobilized,” Konashenkov said.

The Aerospace Forces also hit the temporary deployment point of the 123rd Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Nikolaev with high-precision weapons.

According to the agency, as a result, 13 pieces of equipment and up to 200 Ukrainian military and mercenaries were destroyed.

At the enterprise "Southern Machine-Building Plant" in Dnepropetrovsk, workshops for the repair and production of components for ballistic missiles "Tochka-U" and multiple rocket launchers (MLRS) were liquidated.

In addition, over the past day, four command posts, an ammunition depot, manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 25 districts have been destroyed by high-precision weapons of the Russian Aerospace Forces over the past day.

Russian fighter aircraft destroyed three Ukrainian aircraft in an air battle (two MiG-29s in the Nikolaev and Dnipropetrovsk regions and a Su-25 attack aircraft in the Seversk region) and two helicopters (Mi-24 and Mi-8, both in the sky over the areas of the DPR occupied by Ukrainian troops ).

According to a representative of the Ministry of Defense, during the counter-battery fight, two MLRS platoons, 15 units of Giacint-B howitzers and D-30 guns, and artillery positions in 73 districts were hit.

“Against the backdrop of the successful actions of the Russian armed forces and significant losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian nationalists refuse to take further part in the hostilities in the Donbass.

In particular, 45 nationalists of the 204th battalion of the 241st territorial defense brigade left their combat positions in the Artyomovsk region and demanded that they be rotated to the west of Ukraine, ”said Konashenkov.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian air defense systems shot down 14 Ukrainian drones in various regions of the Donbass republics, Zaporozhye, Kharkiv and Kherson regions.

Also, in the sky over the village of Novozvanovka, the DPR intercepted a Tochka-U missile, and two shells of the Uragan MLRS were shot down near the city of Izyum, Kharkiv region.

According to the Ministry of Defense, operational-tactical and army aviation, missile forces and artillery hit 21 command posts, five ammunition depots, manpower and military equipment of Ukrainian formations in 189 districts.

It is reported that since the beginning of the special operation, 256 aircraft, 139 helicopters, 1,557 drones, 355 anti-aircraft missile systems, 4,073 armored combat vehicles, 746 MLRS systems, 3,149 guns and mortars, as well as more than 4,250 units of military vehicles have been destroyed.

Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu inspected the Russian groupings of troops "Center" and "South", which perform tasks as part of a special military operation.

The head of the department instructed to increase activity in all operational areas in order to exclude the possibility of inflicting massive strikes on civilian infrastructure and residents of the republics of Donbass and other regions.

Meanwhile, the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire Regime (JCCC) continues to record numerous facts of shelling by the Ukrainian military of settlements in the republics of Donbass.

In particular, the representative office of the DPR in the JCCC reported attacks on Donetsk from the Grad MLRS and howitzers of 152 and 155 mm caliber.

Gorlovka, Dolomitnoye, Golmovsky, Dokuchaevsk, Panteleimonovka, Aleksandrovka, Yasinovataya and other settlements are being shelled from rocket and cannon artillery, as well as from mortars.

In addition, Ukrainian units used American HIMARS MLRS to attack the city of Stakhanov and the village of Skargovka in the LPR.

Also on Saturday, July 16, DPR First Deputy Minister of Information Daniil Bezsonov said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to use the tactic of installing radio beacons on their abandoned equipment before retreating.

“After connecting the terminals to the battery, after a short time, an enemy artillery strike is inflicted on this place ... A request to our soldiers to be extremely vigilant and take this fact into account,” the DPR representative emphasized.
