The Iranian edition of Hamshahri writes about this.

According to the author of the article, the American leader is pursuing a failed policy towards Saudi Arabia.

“The US President, however, does not lose hope of getting Riyadh to agree to an increase in oil production in order to at least stop the growth of world oil prices and, accordingly, gasoline,” the expert emphasized.

The author of the article noted that Washington's policy in the Middle East has turned from strategic to passive.

In his opinion, the United States is pursuing momentary interests - concessions on oil production - to influence world prices due to the Ukrainian crisis.

The expert stressed that Saudi Arabia will not turn away from Russia and will not back down from agreements with it.

“The low level of production in general and agreements with Russia are in its strategic, long-term interests,” he said.

The economy and welfare of Saudi Arabia, according to the expert, depend on oil prices and income from its supply to world markets.

He stressed that the goals pursued by Washington in the Middle East are not of interest to Riyadh.

Earlier, The Washington Post wrote that the visit of US President Joe Biden to Saudi Arabia, which he intends to carry out in order to sign an agreement to increase oil production, could turn into an unexpected victory for Russia.
