Defense Minister Shoigu inspected the Russian groups of troops "South" and "Center"

At the command post, Shoigu heard reports from the commander of the South grouping, Army General Sergei Surovikin and the commander of the Center grouping, Colonel General Alexander Lapin, as well as other commanders and commanders on the current situation, the nature of enemy actions and the progress of combat missions.

The minister gave the necessary instructions to further increase the actions of the groups in all operational areas in order to exclude the possibility for the Kyiv regime to launch massive rocket and artillery strikes on civilian infrastructure and residents of settlements in Donbass and other regions.

In addition, in pursuance of the decree of the President of Russia, Shoigu presented the Gold Star medal of the Hero of the Russian Federation for courage and heroism to Colonel General Alexander Lapin and Major General Esedulla Abachev.

In early July, Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, checked the groups of Russian troops involved in the special military operation in Ukraine.
