While the Gironde is experiencing two spectacular fires, which have ravaged more than 7,000 hectares of forest, the prefecture indicates this Friday that the "criminal thesis is privileged" for one of the two fires.

"The criminal thesis is privileged" in the investigation into the causes of the Landiras fire, one of the two fires which have already ravaged in Gironde nearly 7,700 hectares of forest since Tuesday, the Bordeaux prosecutor's office announced on Friday.

"In the state of the investigations, the criminal thesis is privileged concerning the fire of Landiras", declared the parquet floor to AFP, specifying "that all the tracks continue to be explored" and that "no guard to view is in progress".

In total, nearly 7,700 hectares of forest burned, including 4,500 ha in the Landiras sector, about forty kilometers south of Bordeaux.
