According to still provisional results which must be validated by the Constitutional Court, the Congolese Labor Party (PCT) largely won the legislative elections of July 10th.

He would have won the most of the 151 seats in the National Assembly, according to results read out late last night by Territorial Administration Minister Guy-Georges Mbaka.

Making these results public, the Minister of Territorial Administration did not mention the overall participation rate.

But all civil society observers agree that it has been very weak, especially in the cities of Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire.

The first results give the Congolese Labor Party (PCT, in power) a clear winner.

He won with scores of 100% for some candidates, even in Brazzaville.

In the south, PCT candidates won more seats in Pointe-Noire, the economic capital, or in Niari, Bouenza and Pool.

Candidates are in favorable ballot for the second round which should normally be organized on July 24th.

However, the PCT candidate, the Minister of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Jacqueline Lydia Mikolo, is in a ballot against Mouyondzi, facing Claudine Munari, former minister and former president of the opposition Federation.

The UPADS, the first opposition formation, totals four elected and four are in ballots.

The UDH-Yuki of the late opponent Guy-Brice Parfait Kolélas confirms three elected and seven are on ballot.
