The Madrid Puro Reggaeton Festival
is canceled less than 24 hours
after its opening, with 35,000 tickets sold.
As this newspaper has been able to learn, the Community of Madrid
has not authorized its celebration on the
grounds that it does not meet the necessary security conditions.
"We cannot authorize this event because
there is a previous negative report by the Madrid Municipal Police
where it does not authorize or advise the holding of said festival based on security plans."
In the same way, regional sources point out that the organizers requested "authorization
this past Monday
", when "it must be requested at least one month in advance".

The organization of Madrid Puro Reggaeton Festival has issued a statement this Thursday where they showed their
"surprise, stupor and helplessness"
at the announcement by the Community of Madrid to deny them the license.
"A complete security and emergency plan has been presented
for the smooth running of the event
within the limits of the venue, but the Community claims that it has been delivered after the deadline. If the deadlines have been exceeded by the promoter,
it has been exclusively due to the fact that the Administration
has requested more and more documentation, and the festival team has needed time to satisfy these requests", they allege.
