Learn about the conditions for registering for the gifted discovery test for students in grades 4 to 12

Yesterday, the Sharjah Education Council announced the opening of registration for the Talent Discovery Test (Mawaheb Initiative) for students from grades four to 12, which aims to discover talented, creative and innovative students, nurture their talents and develop their skills by involving them in a set of portfolios. Innovative training tailored to suit their interests, ages, and tendencies and meet their needs.

Gifted students are discovered by enrolling them in a special test to discover gifted students for students in schools in the Emirate of Sharjah, which aims to detect talented students who possess exceptional aptitudes, abilities, and latent academic skills in several areas and some aspects of creativity that characterize the talented student.

The initiative takes a number of programs and activities that achieve its objectives by offering 4 tracks, including the sustainable environment track, which is concerned with developing students’ knowledge in the field of agriculture and livestock, the astronomy and space track, which is devoted to the study and analysis of astronomical phenomena and celestial bodies, and the artificial intelligence “robot” track, which is concerned with developing the skill of installing robots. and programming, and finally the artificial intelligence “Python” track, which is dedicated to developing the skill of writing programming in Python and making electronic applications.

The Sharjah Education Council has set 6 conditions for registration in the initiative, which are: to be a student of the public and private schools of the Emirate of Sharjah, and for the student to be in one of the fourth to twelfth grades, and this nomination is in principle and does not require the student to be accepted.

The conditions also included that the candidates be selected according to the applicable criteria and stages of admission. Nominations received from the student himself, the guardian or the school are accepted, while the parents of the accepted students will be informed of the program that their children will enroll in later.

The program, in its entirety, works on developing the skills of gifted students through scientific and methodological creative programs, providing gifted students with skills of self-learning, creative thinking and problem solving, in order to enrich the skills of gifted students through activities, events and training workshops.

This comes as the Sharjah Education Council started yesterday the summer camp under the title "Your Summer is Sweeter" for children aged 3-6 years with the aim of enriching the knowledge of the children of the Emirate of Sharjah, starting from Tuesday 12 July 2022 until 4 August 2022.

This comes with the aim of exploiting children's time by offering them activities that bring them fun and interest, and gain new horizons of mental and physical experiences, according to a thoughtful and effective pattern based on a cognitive agenda that includes different and different aspects of learning.
