Italy: the President of the Republic refuses the resignation of Draghi

Italian President Sergio Mattarella has refused the resignation of Prime Minister Mario Draghi, the Presidency of the Republic announced in a press release.

"The President of the Republic did not accept the resignation of the President of the Council and invited him to appear in parliament (...) so that an assessment of the situation could take place" created by the non-participation of a party in her coalition to a vote of confidence in the Senate, she said.
