Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said Thursday that the Islamic Republic will give a "hard response" to any mistake by Washington or its allies, in response to Washington's statements against Tehran from Jerusalem.

In a televised speech in Kermanshah, the Iranian president warned the United States and its allies against destabilizing the security of the Middle East, after US President Joe Biden, who is visiting Israel, signed a security declaration between Washington and Tel Aviv directed primarily against Tehran.

Raisi went on to say to the Americans and their regional allies that "the Iranian nation will not accept any insecurity or crisis in the region," and that "any mistake in this region will be dealt with with a harsh response."

Today, Thursday, Biden signed a joint agreement with Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid, called the "Jerusalem Declaration", to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

The declaration stipulated Washington's commitment to Israel's security, maintaining Israel's qualitative military superiority, not allowing Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon, and confronting Iranian activities in the region, whether directly or through its proxies such as the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad, according to the statement.

The US President said - in a press conference - that diplomacy is the best way to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, and that his country will not allow Iran to obtain this type of weapon, because this is a vital interest for the security of the United States, Israel and the rest of the world.
