Former Treasury Minister Snak regained the lead as a result of a second vote to narrow down candidates in the ruling and Conservative party leader elections that followed the announcement of British Prime Minister Johnson's resignation. Five people proceeded to the third vote.

British Prime Minister Johnson announced on the 7th of this month that he intends to resign as leader of the ruling and Conservative parties, and that he will retire as prime minister as soon as his successor is decided.



Along with this, the Conservative Party is conducting a party leader election to select a successor, and a second vote by members of the House of Representatives was held on the 14th to narrow down the candidates.



As a result, of the six candidates, former Finance Minister Snak won 101 votes and took the lead again following the first vote.
