According to him, the negotiators managed to come to an agreement on many significant aspects of grain exports.

“It was a substantive agreement on many aspects, namely, on the issues of control mechanisms, coordination, demining, on many, I would say, significant aspects,” TASS quoted him as saying.

He also added that important steps have been taken in Istanbul to ensure the safe and secure export of food from Ukraine through the Black Sea.

At the same time, he stressed that "more technical work will be required to translate the progress made today into reality."

Earlier, the Turkish Ministry of Defense reported that at the negotiations of the delegations of Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the UN on the situation with the supply of grain, an agreement was reached on the establishment of a coordination center in Istanbul.
