“The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan decided to mitigate the state of emergency imposed on the territory of Karakalpakstan, namely the establishment of a new curfew time “from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.” instead of “from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.,” he wrote on Telegram.

It is specified that the decision was made taking into account the stabilization of the situation in Karakalpakstan.

Earlier, Mirziyoyev introduced a state of emergency in the territory of Karakalpakstan, where the riots took place, until August 2.

A protest demonstration was held in the city of Nukus in Karakalpakstan in connection with the "misinterpretation of constitutional reforms."

Currently, public order has been restored on the spot, the situation has been taken under full control.
