The title of EDF was suspended, this Wednesday, July 13, on the Paris Stock Exchange, at the request of the group, a week after the announcement of its 100% nationalization by Elisabeth Borne.

The course has been temporarily suspended, assured Bercy, who indicates that this procedure is part of the normal tools for managing the financial markets in this type of situation.

The EDF title was suspended on Wednesday July 13 on the Paris Stock Exchange at the group's request, following the announcement of its 100% nationalization by Elisabeth Borne last week.

Why this suspension of the title of EDF until further notice?

Avoid lowering the title

The title was suspended because we are entering a period of turbulence and this could completely disrupt the value of the title and therefore of the company.

The State should specify in the coming days the implementation of this renationalization of the group.

This suspension will therefore prevent rumours, for example, from artificially raising or lowering the title.

This procedure is traditional in this kind of situation.

A request from EDF

This is a request from EDF to the AMF, the Financial Markets Authority.

Trading will resume next Tuesday, the 19th, once all terms are on the table.

And during this time, the government will be able to work calmly on its project which, I remind you, should allow the State to move forward more quickly on the transformation of the group, the re-commissioning of the power plants shut down for maintenance. and above all the launch of a program to build new nuclear power plants.
