One dead, 8 missing in China floods
One person was killed and eight others are still missing after floods caused by rainstorms swept through a village in Wudalianchi City, Heilongjiang Province, northeast China.
The accident occurred yesterday evening in Dongfeng Village, Chaoyangshan Town, according to the Provincial Directorate of Emergency Management.
More than 700 rescuers took part in the search for the missing, and all the affected villagers were evacuated to safe places.
