A 22-year-old pilot died Tuesday evening in Revel after the crash of his passenger plane at the locality of La Rute, not far from the aerodrome of the town, south-east of Toulouse.

It was around 7:45 p.m. when the firefighters were called to intervene.

When they arrived, the young man, who was alone on board, was in cardiorespiratory arrest, his device having been damaged against a tree and dislocated into several pieces.

Despite attempts at resuscitation, he did not survive.

According to the first elements of the investigation, he had come from Graulhet, in the Tarn, to come to pick up and tow microlight pilots at the Revel aerodrome.

After towing them in the air, his plane would have been in difficulty, before falling.

An investigation has been opened, as is customary in these circumstances, to determine the reasons for this tragedy.
