Xi Jinping pointed out that the establishment of the international organization of the World Internet Conference is an important measure to follow the development trend of the information age and deepen international exchanges and cooperation in cyberspace.
It is hoped that the World Internet Conference will adhere to high-level planning, high-standard construction, and high-level promotion, promote consultation through dialogue and exchanges, and promote sharing through pragmatic cooperation, so as to contribute wisdom and strength to global Internet development and governance.
Xi Jinping emphasized that cyberspace is related to the destiny of mankind, and the future of cyberspace should be jointly created by all countries in the world.

The inaugural meeting of the World Internet Conference was held in Beijing on the same day. Members include international organizations, business institutions, experts and scholars related to the global Internet field.
