[Explanation] The 20th Straits Youth Forum with the theme of "Youth Create the Future Together, Work Together for Rejuvenation" was held in Xiamen, Fujian on July 12.

The Straits Youth Forum, which has gone through 20 years, has established a new pattern of cross-strait youth exchanges through various forms of activities.

　　[Explanation] The reporter noticed that in the theme forum of this Straits Youth Forum, young people from both sides of the strait took turns to share their stories of working hard in the mainland.

Some of them use their own strength to help Taiwanese youth start businesses in the mainland, and some not only settle down in the mainland, but also realize the leap and development of their personal careers.

　　All things, all occupations, the first step is very difficult, because this is the step you must go through to break through the comfort zone, but it is on the mainland of the motherland. In fact, there are really many things for us Taiwan compatriots. A lot of care. When you break through your comfort zone and enter a challenging environment, you find that you are not fighting alone. I think the difficulty may be greatly reduced. I think everyone is worth the challenge. And this is really the most caring warmth that the mainland of the motherland has given us Taiwan compatriots.

　　[Explanation] Taiwanese youth Zhang Mingzhen is engaged in the coffee industry in Qingdao, Shandong.

In 2008, he was invited to participate in the 6th Straits Youth Forum, which was also the first time for Zhang Mingzhen to participate in cross-strait exchange activities.

Optimistic about the development prospects of the mainland, he resolutely decided to cross the sea to the mainland to start a business.

At present, Zhang Mingzhen serves as the chairman of the Taiwan Chinese Young Entrepreneurs Association. He often organizes young entrepreneurs and young students from Taiwan to exchange with the mainland to promote the integration of young people from both sides of the strait.

　　The general Taiwanese young people still hope to find a goal to pursue their ideals and strive for. Then I think if more Taiwanese young people can come to the mainland to find a stage for their own development, this young person will be hidden in their hearts. This kind of positive motivation is induced in it. Being able to stand on this stage and share my past experience is more like a transmitter, hoping to pass on this seed from generation to generation.

　　[Explanation] In June 2015, Taiwanese youth Zhang Shufu came to Pingtan, Fujian, and invested in the operation of Fujian Cross-border E-commerce Company.

In 2017, through the "Taiwan Experts" policy of the Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone Management Committee, Zhang Shufu started the work related to the guidance, policy research, formulation and implementation of the cross-border e-commerce industry.

In the same year, Zhang Shufu persuaded his wife to give up her executive position in Taiwan and come to Pingtan to engage in the tourism industry. Today, the family lives peacefully in Pingtan.

　　Focus on your future ideals and the development of your own ambitions. I think the mainland will be a good place, and Fujian will be a good place.

I think the exchange of young people on both sides of the strait is actually to promote mutual understanding. From the understanding that we can work together for the same goal, I think this is a good foundation and starting point.

　　[Explanation] The Straits Youth Forum was founded in 2003. It is co-sponsored by the All-China Youth Federation, the Taiwan-China Youth Exchange Association, and the Chinese Kuomintang Youth Workers Association. It is an important platform for cross-strait youth exchanges.

In addition to the opening ceremony and the keynote forum, the main activities of this forum include the 2022 Straits Youth Association Roundtable and the 2022 Straits Youth Huafu Festival.
