As the deputy noted, now the Russians have reduced the intensity of foreign holidays, having opted for domestic tourism.
According to Milonov, domestic tourism is “an excellent driver of growth for the regional economies of our country,” however, as the parliamentarian added, the proportion of citizens who want to go on vacation abroad is still large.
At the same time, according to him, due to the withdrawal of Western companies and services from the Russian tourist market, the foreign leisure sector is a promising direction for organizing new enterprises to provide such services.
However, citizens are afraid of the difficulties and difficulties that have arisen in the field due to sanctions and changes in travel rules, an RT interlocutor said.
“In this regard, it seems expedient to establish a public or private-public service (agency) to provide services to the population in the field of international tourism.
This organization could take on guaranteed obligations for organizing trips and accommodating tourists at foreign resorts,” the text of the appeal says.
He stressed that the participation of the state would be "a strict guarantee of the provision of services in full", and the countries for travel would be determined according to the criteria of safety and friendliness towards the Russians.
Earlier, Milonov proposed to introduce new measures of state support for Russian car manufacturers.
