It is a Joe Biden under pressure who receives Mexican President Andres Manuel López Obrador this Tuesday, July 12 at the White House.

The American president is harshly criticized for his failing policy of controlling the southern border.

Every month, more than 200,000 migrants are intercepted by border patrol.

More than 1.5 million migrants have been arrested by US border authorities this year after entering illegally.

And it's not just people from Central or South America anymore.

For about a year, Mexicans have started to emigrate to the United States again, as a result of the violence and the lack of opportunities in their country.

A few days ago, President López Obrador said that these migrants could be useful to the United States.

“

There is a shortage of workers in the United States, why deny this reality?

, thus affirmed the president of Mexico.

There is a

shortage of labor and at the same time they prevent migrants from entering…

Do not let human traffickers and smugglers decide "for us"

Two weeks ago, 53 migrants were found dead

hiding in a truck that had taken them to Texas.

Half were Mexican.

This Tuesday, López Obrador will propose to his counterpart to grant more than two hundred thousand work visas to Mexicans.

“

I propose that we find an agreement on work visas.

This will allow us to order the migratory flow.

So that human traffickers and smugglers don't decide for us

.

According to the Mexican president, increasing legal immigration channels should benefit both countries.
