An eleven-year-old girl was the victim of early drowning in Pléneuf-Val-André, (Côtes d'Armor) this Saturday afternoon.

She was bathing at the Piégu beach when the accident occurred, says France 3 Bretagne.

His father quickly intervened.

The man managed to get his daughter out of the water but the child had already started to asphyxiate.

Witnesses who witnessed the scene informed the emergency services, who were dispatched to the scene.

The Pleneuf Val-André firefighters took charge of the child.
