The black-yellow-striped beetle is very rare - it only lives in about ten places in the country.

In Stockholm County, it was until recently only in the National City Park.

- We were very happy to find it here in Viggbyholm, says Yolanda Karlsson, ecologist in Täby municipality.

Endangered beetle

A few years ago, the endangered broad-banded oak bark beetle was also found in Solna.

And during this year's insect inventory, it has also crept into scent traps in Björkhagen, Sundbyberg, Upplands Väsby and Täby.

- This may indicate that it is about to spread, which is good, says Yolanda Karlsson with a smile.
