America accuses Russia and China of challenging the world order

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken accused Russia of "challenging the world order" through its military operation in Ukraine, and China as well by trying to make some differences to the existing order.

"The world order is being challenged, Russia is challenging it with its aggression against Ukraine... If Russia is allowed to do what it is doing, it means that we will return to a world where big countries can intimidate small countries, and this is the opposite of the rules-based system," Blinken said in a statement to the Thai PBS channel. .

He added, "China is also defying the world order with its increasing aggression in the region and growing repression at home... I believe that China wants an international order but with some adjustments, while the system that we have tried to defend and maintain is basically liberal in its values."

"China may be aiming for a system that is so illiberal and reflects a different set of values," he added.
