  • The French team caused a sensation for its entry into the running at the Women's Euro on Sunday in Rotherham, outclassing an Italian team (5-1) overwhelmed by opposing attacks in the first period.

    Les Bleues inflicted on the Azzurre the biggest card of the first day, even larger than the river scores achieved by the Germans (4-0), the Norwegians and the Spaniards (4-1) before they started the tournament.

  • "Choose France" will open with a record: 6.7 billion euros in projects and 4,000 permanent jobs.

  • Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) was forced to retire on Sunday during the Austrian Grand Prix, after his car caught fire, causing the intervention of the virtual safety car.

    This incident occurred on lap 57 (out of 71) when the Spanish driver was in 3rd position and was trying to overtake Max Verstappen.

    Sainz then saw his engine explode, forcing him to leave the track.

    Seconds later, the car caught fire while he was still in his seat.

    The Spaniard then got out of the cockpit alone, apparently uninjured, and the marshals then intervened to contain the fire.

  • The protesters who forced Sri Lanka's president from his palace intend to continue to occupy the building until he resigns next week, as he promised.

    They were hundreds of thousands on Saturday gathered in the district of the official residences to show their anger at the unprecedented economic crisis that the country is experiencing and for which they judge President Gotabaya Rajapaksa partly responsible.
