Earlier, the governor of the Kaliningrad region, Anton Alikhanov, said that work was underway to resolve the issue of transit to the region. 

In addition, Alikhanov said that if the deadlines announced by the European Union for resolving the issue of transit are not met, the authorities of the region will turn to the country's leadership with a proposal to take retaliatory measures.

On June 17, the Lithuanian Railways notified the Kaliningrad Railways of stopping the transit of a number of sanctioned goods.
