• Events Six arrested for a group sexual assault on a woman in Barcelona

The Barcelona Investigating Court number 18 ordered freedom with charges for three of the six arrested for their relationship with a group sexual assault on a woman in Barceloneta early Friday morning.

The case is open for sexual assault and the magistrate ordered the release of the three investigated with precautionary measures such as passport withdrawal, prohibition to leave the country and periodic appearance before the judicial authority.

The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested six people this Saturday after the victim's complaint, although only three went to court.

The other three were released after testifying to the police and for the moment they are not charged, although they may be summoned by the court when it deems it appropriate.

In this sense, judicial sources point out that they could have been witnesses to the sexual assault.

The victim was treated in the first instance at the Hospital Clínic in Barcelona for alcohol poisoning, but as the hours passed, she remembered that she suffered a sexual assault and that they could have drugged her.

Therefore, she reported to the police and facilitated the identification of the suspects who were arrested by the agents.
