South Africa: deadly shootings in Soweto and Pietermaritzburg

In South Africa, two shootings took place in the night from Saturday to Sunday, in a bar in Soweto, near Johannesburg, and in a bar in Pietermaritzburg, in the east of the country.
They claimed 18 victims according to an initial assessment.

In Soweto, in the East Orlando district, the toll is fourteen victims.
The police say they were called in the night from Saturday to Sunday, around 00:30.

When we arrived there, twelve people were dead, with gunshot wounds
," Nonhlanhla Kubheka, commander of the Orlando police station, the district of Soweto where the tragedy took place, told AFP.
Eleven injured were taken to hospital where two of them died.
