The Turkish Presidency of Defense Industries announced the successful test launch of the "Gok Dogan" air-to-air missile equipped with radar search technology.

In a tweet on Twitter, the head of Defense Industries Ismail Demir confirmed that the "Gok Dogan" missile will hit both visible and invisible targets, according to the Anatolia News Agency.

Demir praised the "successful test launch of the missile in enhancing the capabilities of the Turkish Air Force."

He confirmed that the "Gok Dogan" and "Bozdogan" missiles will be delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces this year.

By producing Gökt Doğan and Bozdoğan (air-to-air) missiles, Turkey becomes one of only 8 countries in the world that can produce this type of missile, according to Anadolu Agency.

The agency stated that "the Gok Dogan and Bozdogan missiles are the first air-to-air missiles to be produced in Turkey with local capabilities, and they are characterized by supersonic speed and high maneuverability, and will play an important role in achieving the air superiority of the Turkish forces."
