“In the zone of the military special operation in Ukraine, the latest LPD-801 electronic warfare complex was used against small UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” a source in law enforcement agencies told TASS.
It is noted that such means of combat effectively counteract Ukrainian drones, since many of these drones are converted UAVs in domestic conditions.
Earlier it became known that the Russian air defense systems (air defense) since the beginning of the special operation shot down about 90 Bayraktar attack drones.
It is noted that due to their size and low maneuverability, these drones are an easy target for Russian anti-aircraft missile systems.
Business Insider, citing military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and experts, noted that the Ukrainian army is trying not to use the American and Turkish drones supplied to it because of their low effectiveness against Russian air defense systems.
